Mai 2010
After starting the job in January 2005, EET finished work on the Sharjah landfill remediation (mining) project after 64 months in April 2010. The last cubic metres of landfilled material have been excavated and treated, and inerts refilled. An unbelievable total of 7,506,551 m³ of landfill material has thus been treated with this method.
On parts of the total area of approx. 300 ha, multi-storey building are now under construction. Feeder roads leading to the nearby motorway exit are already under traffic. The former dump site is awakening to a new life, supporting the development of a completely new urban district in the centre of Sharjah.
